TERMS & CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) apply to all goods and services available through the website under the domain name www.littleartlab.org (the “Website”) and Little Art Lab class/workshop. When purchasing any goods or services from Little Art Lab the purchaser signifies their agreement to be bound by these terms.
1. Bookings and Payments
1.1 All booking enquiries must be made through direct contact with Little Art Lab via phone or email (info@littleartlab.org) in advance. This is essential to determine if a vacancy is available in the desired class or workshop.
1.2 Little Art Lab will confirm a place in a class or workshop once payment has been confirmed.
1.3 Full term tuition fee must be paid before the commencement of the class.
1.4 Pro-rata of total fee is calculated for new students who enrol with Little Art Lab after Week 1 of the school term.
2. Classes
2.1 All classes are capped and Little Art Lab reserves the right to modify the cap number as it is deemed necessary.
2.2 Punctuality is crucial. Students should be dropped off and picked up within 5 minutes of starting and finishing times, failure to do so may incur an additional fee.
2.3 Doors may be locked during class for security reasons, and visits (including late/early drop off or pick ups) must be pre-organised.
2.4 Little Art Lab reserves the right to refuse admission to any participant who poses a disciplinary problem or disrupts other students in their learning.
2.5 Parents (or an allocated responsible adult) must be contactable at all times during class.
2.6 If someone other than a parent or family member is likely to be picking up your child, Little Art Lab must be informed prior to the event.
2.7 No make-up classes, credits or refunds are given for non-attendance through the student.
2.8 No more than two make-up classes are allowed per school term.
2.9 No make-up class will be provided if notification of absence is not received at least two hours prior to the beginning of class. This policy also applies to scheduled make-up classes.
2.10 Make-up class must be scheduled in advance. Classes are arranged prioritized by the following order: existing class times > designated make-up class times > a mutually agreed time outside of the usual hours. Make-up classes are arranged to the best of our abilities.
2.11 Make-up classes must be arranged within the term. Classes cannot be carried forward to the next term.
2.12 Make-up class is subject to availability of slots and classes.
2.13 Make-up class is not transferable.
2.14 Absences due to scheduled events, including but not limited to: vacations, school events, personal commitments, appointments, and other class activities, must be informed at least 3 days in advance in order to receive a make-up class.
2.15 In the event of illness, including COVID-19, a valid medical certificate must be presented in order to carry credits forward. Otherwise, a make-up class will be arranged when adequate notice is given.
2.16 In the event of sudden illness or physical injuries, absences must be informed at least two hours prior to the lesson starting.
2.17 In the event of isolation due to being a close contact of a COVID-19 positive individual, lessons can be made up according to the make-up class rules.
2.18 In the event of cancellation by Little Art Lab, lessons can be made-up, credits carried forward, or refunded with a 10% administration fee. Refunds are processed at the end of the term.
3. Workshops
3.1 To secure a place in a workshop the fee must be paid in full in advance on “a first in first served” basis.
3.2 All workshops are capped and Little Art Lab reserves the right to modify the cap number as it is deemed necessary.
3.3 Little Art Lab reserves the right to change the start and finishing times of workshops.
3.4 Paid workshop participant affected by such a change will be notified as soon as any change is made and if necessary offered another workshop time or a full refund.
4. Cancellation and refunds
4.1 Any requests or payment of refunds by Little Art Lab will incur a $20.00 administration fee.
4.2 Should a class or workshop need to be cancelled due to insufficient numbers, participants will be notified and either offered a similar class or workshop or a full refund.
4.3 Up to 7 days before a scheduled class or workshop Little Art Lab will accept a cancellation and refund any payment, less the non-refundable administration fee.
4.4 From 6 days to 24 hours before a scheduled class or workshop Little Art Lab will accept a cancellation and refund, less the non-refundable administration fee, at 50% of the remaining original payment.
4.5 In the 24-hour period before a scheduled class or workshop no refund is available.
4.6 Little Art Lab reserves the right at any time to negotiate, change or vary the terms and conditions in clauses 4.1 to 4.5 above as it deems appropriate.
5. Health and Safety
5.1 All children who are ill or infectious must not attend classes.
5.2 Participants must adhere to all safety guidelines and instructions regarding the use of any materials and tools.
5.3 At the end of each class or workshop day participants are expected to help clean their work area.
5.4 Little Art Lab is not responsible for the safety of children outside their class times.
5.5 Children who attend class with a friend (and whose parents have not completed an enrolment form), become the responsibility of the parents of the fully enrolled child.
5.6 No responsibility will be taken for dirty clothes, however all children will be provided with an apron/smock during the class.
6. Stored Artwork
6.1 Participants may leave their works in progress at the Little Art Lab where artworks are handled with care and are kept in a safe environment. However, no liability is accepted in the event of loss or damage to any work.
6.2 Any unclaimed artwork will become properties of Little Art Lab 3 weeks after the term finishes.
7. Privacy Policy
7.1 Little Art Lab respects individual privacy.
7.2 Any information provided to Little Art Lab for the purposes of obtaining goods and services from Little Art Lab will be used for that purpose and any email address will be added to the Little Art Lab email list.
7.3 Little Art Lab operates an emailing list for newsletters and information dissemination concerning Little Art Lab goods and services only. Participants’ can request their email address to be removed from Little Art Lab emailing list at any time.
8. Disclaimer
8.1 Participants undertaking classes or workshops with Little Art Lab expressly acknowledge that in the course of undertaking classes or workshops use is made of paints, inks, chemicals, art tools, art utensils and other materials which are dangerous and the classes or workshops are undertaken and these materials are used at the participants own risk.
9. Photography
9.1 Photographs of your child and their artwork may be taken during class for website or other advertising and publicity purposes.
9.2 Little Art Lab reserves the right to publish any photographs of children working in class, and or artwork created by the students.
9.3 If you do not wish for your child to be photographed, please inform Little Art Lab before the commencement of your child’s first class.
9.4 Photographs and notes are posted in a private class group for informative purposes only. Do not share photographs of other students or class notes publicly without permission.
